Interactive Touch Screens for Education

Interactive Touch Screen Displays are giant LCD or LED screens that, although look like TV's, are far much more. Most smart boards are pen and touch enabled allowing meaning you are able to interact with them as you would a tablet for example. Multiple people can use these smart boards at one time. Some smart boards are standalone and have built in software to utilise educational software packages to deliver quality content, others can be connected to a PC and form a projector type display, mimicing the PC's display. 

There are many different makes and models of interactive displays that offer a wide range of features, packages, functionality and sizes. The difference bettwen them is the interactive usability that has evolved. 

Smart boards grant teachers a tool that supports the whole class, wether it be a small learning group or classroom with 30+ students. It can be a place for teachers and students to collaborate, present and demonstrate ideas and gives the ability to problem solve as a class not just individually.
