A trike teaches a child many important lessons that build their mental and physical health. Depending on the height and development of a child, most children can successfully use a trike by the age of two and by the age of four, they are usually able to independently steer, pedal and control the trike. A trike allows children to advance their co-ordination and balance skills as they learn to control their fine and gross motor movements. Trikes give children the freedom they want to move about and make decisions on their own, encouraging use of their own initiative.
